GATE 2020 Registration: Start the registration process for GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) 2020. IIT Delhi will conduct the GATE 2020 examination on 1, 2, 8 and 9 February. The GATE 2020 exam is going to be held in two shifts, which will be from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

This year Indian Institute of Technology Delhi is going to conduct the examination on 1, 2, 8 and 9 February 2020. It is going to be held in two shifts. Which will start at 9:30 am and end at 12:30 pm and the afternoon shift will be held from 2:30 am to 5:30 pm.

The application process starts from September 02 and ends on September 24, 2019, candidates can fill the form on the official website gate.iitd.ac.in.

 

Candidates will also be given a window to modify their application forms. The last date to request a change of exam city is November 15, 2019, with additional fees.

To apply for the GATE 2020 exam, candidates have to follow the steps given below:

  • First, candidates to the official website, the gate http://gate.iitd.ac.in/ will go on
  • Click on the GATE 2020 section on the home page
  • Enter the registered email ID and mobile number for registration on the new page
  • Then, log in with enrollment ID and password.
  • Enter all the required details and pay the application fee
  • Click to submit

The examination will be conducted on 24 subjects, including aerospace, engineering, architecture and planning, chemical engineering, biotechnology, etc.

The GATE 2020 exam will be conducted on 24 subjects which will include Engineering, Aerospace, Architecture & Planning, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, etc. The exam will consist of objective type questions and will be conducted in online (computer-based) mode. The candidate can appear in any one session only in one paper.

GATE 2020 will be a computer-based multiple-choice question or MCQ-based exam. They will have to answer 65 questions for a total of 100 marks within three hours.

The result will be announced on March 16, 2020. The score of GATE is valid until three years after the declaration of the result.

Based on GATE 2020, students will be eligible for admission to master and doctoral level programs in IISc and IIT. Those candidates who pass GATE are also eligible to apply for a government job.

Candidates should note that for each wrong answer, there will be negative marking of 1/3 mark. However, there will be no negative marking for incorrect answers in NAT questions. GATE is an all India engineering examination conducted for admission to postgraduate programs in Indian higher education institutions.

MHRD and other them for students to get direct access to doctoral programs supported institutions by government agencies in doctoral programs in relevant branches of Master’s programs and Engineering / Technology / Architecture and Science Gate to qualify is mandatory.

GATE 2020 will be conducted on 23 subjects. The examination of all 23 subjects will be conducted as Online Computer Based Test (CBT). On the website, it is clearly mentioned that the candidates have to apply and fill the application through online mode only on GOAPS, while the link will be made available on the official website of GATE.

The application fee is paid electronically. The application fee is neither refundable nor transferable. The application fee for female candidates is Rs 750 for SC / ST / PWD category candidates and Rs 1500 for all other candidates.
